Many times an operation requires multiple fiber types to be blended together. This is easily accomplished with the use of the following equipment:

• Feeder (aka hopper)

• Weigh pans

• Conveyor

• Blender

First the fiber is metered into the weigh pan by the feeder. Then the fiber is weighed either mechanically or electronically. Once weighed, it is dumped into a conveyor which transports the fiber to the blender. After the blending has taken place it is pneumatically moved to the next process in the plant.
